🌪️ The Storm's Coming… and So Is a New Book

There’s a new story brewing—thick with tension, tangled roots, and the hum of chainsaws slicing through Southern quiet.

It starts with a dead body.

Actually, two.

After a storm tears through a quiet neighborhood, power vanishes, cell service dies, and the HOA president is found crushed beneath a fallen tree. But he’s not the only one who won’t be attending the next board meeting. Wilbur Hardcastle—eccentric recluse, sometime hoarder, and owner of the town’s ugliest marble clock—is found dead in his study. No storm damage. Just blood. And a wound shaped suspiciously like a timepiece gone rogue.

Now Nesta Trillum—retired nurse, HOA vice president, reluctant leader—is coordinating storm relief and body counts, all while sipping tepid water and jotting crisis plans on a hot pink notepad. As neighbors twist their ankles and twist their truths, one thing becomes clear: someone in Bright Hills didn’t wait for the storm to settle a score.

And someone else knows it.

This is Southern noir with a bite. Cozy grit. A place where maples hide secrets and calla lilies stand like sentinels. Where pregnancy doesn’t prevent you from scrubbing blood off tile, and a loaf of Japanese milk bread can say more than a sympathy card ever could.

Working Title: Storm Season
Release Date: TBD
Featuring: Pink notepads. Witty neighbors. Calla lilies. And maybe murder.

Stay tuned for character teasers, behind-the-scenes drafts, and the mystery of Mignon Hardcastle—who insists the blood be mopped before the police arrive… assuming they ever do.
