Let's Talk About Tosca

 Let's talk about Tosca, the witchy woman from Mayhem Senior Style: Holy Oak Village.Tosca might be your favorite character—even if you swore she wouldn’t be. Readers have said, "I feel like I shouldn't like her. But I do." and "She's self-absorbed, lovable, and vibrant." Some have even called her their favorite character. 

I won't play favorites, but I will say Tosca was fun to write. She's confident about her beauty even though she's in her seventies. Who says older women can't show off their figure? Certainly not Tosca. After fifty years of health foods and yoga, the woman's entitled to wear whatever she wants. 

Tosca is a blend of southern manners and chutzpah. If there's a way to get what she wants, Tosca will find it. She'll wheedle, she'll confront, she'll whine and--in the end--the other person will give up just to get rid of her.

Now, there is an elephant in the room here. Tosca's love of ambulance rides is well known. Some call her an ambulance chaser. Tosca prefers mobile angel of mercy. But--we need to face it--life in a retirement village has got to be a little boring for someone of Tosca's stature. Who are we to begrudge her the excitement of the chase?
